Over 8 years national and international experience in political and policy research. I am currently Policy Manager at the International Alliance for Patients' Organisations. I also served as PTHP Lecturer in Media Studies at the School of Media & Performing Arts, University of Portsmouth. Between 2014 and 2015, I was AW Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Media Studies, School of Language, Literature and Media (SLLM), University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), Johannesburg (South Africa), where I developed a research project on the role of public service broadcasting in the process of democratic consolidation.
I hold a PhD in political science from Scuola Normale Superiore of Florence, and a Master's degree in institutional and corporate communication from the University of Perugia (Italy). Have presented my papers at international conferences and published multiple single- and coauthored manuscripts in various academic peer-reviewed journals. I also worked as a Policy and Research Intern at the Building and Social Housing Foundation (BSHF), Coalville, Leicestershire (UK), and as a media researcher on behalf of the Italian Authority for Communications.
