Elisa Ferrer joined EURORDIS in 2015 as Patient Engagement Manager, later becoming Patient Engagement Senior Manager and a referent for patient engagement within EURORDIS. She supports EURORDIS’ mission of engaging patients in decision-making processes all along the medicines life-cycle and beyond.
Just recently, Elisa started managing EURORDIS activities in PARADIGM, a project funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) to advance meaningful patient engagement in medicines research and development. Before joining EURODIS, Elisa worked in pharmacovigilance at two large pharmaceutical companies and also has experience as a medical writer and scientific editor.
Elisa holds a degree in Pharmacy and a PhD in Physiology and has previously worked in basic research studying ocular ion channel physiology and mechanisms of nociceptive memory in neurons.
